TATTERSALLS FORMS ALLIANCE WITH FRENCH SALES COMPANY OSARUS
17/11/2012

Tattersalls, Europe's leading bloodstock auctionneers, has annouced that it has formed a strategic alliance with the young sales company osarus. The alliance will see close ties between the two companies with Tattersalls providing logistical and financial support. With Tattersalls notoriety and the work accomplished by Osarus, the french bloodstock scene should develop to the benefit of french breeders.

Commenting on the new association, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

"This new alliance is an exciting venture for both Tattersalls and Osarus. We have been closely observing the progress and development of Osarus for a while now and have been enormously impressed with the way in which the team has established a niche in the french marcket in a relatively short space of time.Osarus is a french company working assiduously for french breeders and we hope that our new arrangement will allow then to continue to develop and build upon the sccess that they have worked so hard to achieve in recent years.

"Our involvement with Osarus also reflects the importance that Tattersalls has always placed on building and strengthening relationships in key markets around the world. The french racing and breeding  industry is well structured and well funded and the close ties between Tattersalls and Osarus emphasise the high regard in which we hold both Osarus and the wider french industry."

Emmanuel Viaud, Managing Directornof Osarus, commented:

"This is a very significant moment in the continuing development of Osarus. This strategic alliance with the leading bloodstock auctionneers in europe is a huge endorsement for the young agency that we are and for the french bloodstock industry in general.

We are a young, ambitious team with a vision based on our confidence in the french breeding industry and we are delighted that Tattersalls shares our vision. Osarus has enjoyed its best ever year in 2012, in partucular at our flagship September yearling sale at la Teste. With our new partners Tattersalls, we look forward to building on this success and to continuing to provide the possible service to french breeders in the years to come."

OSARUS : CONFIRMED DYNAMISM !
08/11/2012

With an important percentage of horses sold (near 80%) and a turnover of €717,600, Osarus has ended its November sale at Le Lion d'Angers, as well as the year, on a positive note.

The dynamic which began in April with the launching of the Pornichet all weather track Breeze-up, followed by the La teste September yearling sale, was confirmed during Osarus' last sale of the year.

The customer prospecting which began in the spring has been fruitful, as new international buyers (including Tunisian, Lybian, Italian and Irish customers), were very active.

The succes on the track of horses presented at Osarus sales has also contributed greatly to these results, with LES BEAUFS as the top of the list after his win in the Prix Royal Oak (Gr.1).

The activity was supported throughout the two days sale by international bloodstock agents such as MAB Agency, Agence FIPS, Hautières Bloodstock (Guillaume Gorse), Guy Petit, Paul Nataf (24 lots) as well as trainers Keven Borgel, Nicolas de Balanda and Guy Cherel.

Ventes Osarus - Avec Les Beaufs pour locomotive (Art. Paris-Turf)
03/11/2012

16/09/2012

The Osarus September yearling sale at La Teste withnessed a strong trade when out of 152 lots offered for sale 89.47% were sold (including private sales), a clearance rate that has rarely been achieved.

The turnover increased by 56% going from 1.03 million Euros in 2011 to 1.61 million Euros in 2012.

A colt by Sunday Break (bought by Fretless Limited) and a filly by Stormy River (bought by MAB Agency) topped the sale at €46,000.

Following the end of the sale co-director & auctioneer Emmanuel Viaud stated :

"The outcome of this sale is very positive, we were hoping to achieve a clearance rate between 75 and 85% and a turnover of 1,5 million Euros. The final figures are beyond our expectations ! Trade was strong and we sold a lot of yearlings between 15 and €20,000.

Carlotamix et le triplé Osarus à Auteuil
05/09/2012

FIRST BREEZE-UP IN FRANCE ON AN ALL WEATHER TRACK
27/03/2012

The young French auction house OSARUS innovates again by organising its first breeze-up which will take place on the all weather track of Pornichet on Wednesday 25th April 2012.

Pornichet racecourse, a high-quality location !

Pornichet is located on the "côte d'Amour" (coast of Love), in a modern and internationally renowned seaside town beside some of the nicest beaches of Europe. Together with the professional and warm welcome of the racecourse management team, all is present to attract trainers and owners for this new spring sale.

In view of the increase of races on this type of track, it seemed opportune to organise a two-year-old sale on one of the most recent all weather tracks in France.

Approximately fifty two-year-olds will breeze in front of the stands. Amoung these are : n°42 one of the last sons of ANABAA presented by Frédéric Daguzan-Garros, n° 28 a male by BIG SHUFFLE presented by Marie Laurence Oget, n°45 a male by INDIAN ROCKET presented by Severine Quéré.

Osarus, la petite agence qui monte
12/01/2012

OSARUS CAN JUMP
27/11/2010

OSARUS favours precocity for the La Teste September sale and the good results of horses sold, such as DARLING STORY who won the Prix Delahante (L.) on the 13th November 2010 at Marseille-Borély, confirm the quality of horses offered at OSARUS sales. OSARUS also attempted a National Hunt sale at Pau on the 17th January 2009, with half-satisfying results. However, several lots offered at this sale have since shown talent on the tracks in France as well as overseas :

• VICBILH (Loup Solitaire), winner of the Prix Sambristan at Enghien on the 17th November 2010 by 8 lengths and already winner of a Listed race, earning a total of € 113 970.

• NADIYA DE LA VEGA (Lost World), winner of the Highflyer Bloodstock Four Years Old Novices’Chase (Class 3) at Warwick on the 17th November 2010, made an impressive start to her career in the UK, winning by 13 lengths. From four outings she boasts 2 wins and 2 places.

• KING DU LEMO (Indian River), 2nd in the Prix Antoine de Palaminy at Pau (L.) and 4th  of the Prix Triquerville at Auteuil (L.) on the 30th October 2010.

• MASSENA (Marju), trained by Jehan BERTRAN de BALANDA, 2nd for his debut at Auteuil in the Prix Emilius on the 30th October 2010. Bought back for € 48 000 by his owner at Pau in January 2009, he made the top price of the Autumn St Cloud sales 22 months later, when he was sold for €150 000.

• PRESIDENT NOIR (Lavirco), winner of the Prix de Menton (hurdles) at Compiègne on the 19th November 2010. He has earned a total of € 79 520.

16/09/2010
For the third consecutive year, the Osarus yearling sale was held at La Teste in the South West of France.
Before the sales, on Wednesday evening, a cocktail party was organized in partnership with the casino of Arcachon. Thus, all guests had the possibility to discuss in a relaxed and musical atmosphere.

On Thursday, after a country buffet offered by Jean Biraben and the breeders of the South West, the sale began at 2 pm to end at 7.30 pm.

A record percentage of yearlings sold
Out of 111 yearlings consigned, 91 found purchasers (5 in private sales) representing 82% of horses sold for an average price of 9 052 â?¬ and a turnover of â?¬ 818 500 (â?¬ 584 500 in 2009). All figures therefore show a sharp increase compared to last year.

An active market
To begin the afternoon, Guy Petit bought a Panis colt consigned by Haras de Bourgeauville for â?¬17 000. This Normandy based stud, which was present at the sale for the first time, was satisfied to sell the 2 yearlings presented.
The sale attracted new buyers such as Sylvain Vidal (very present on the european market), Patrick Dreux, Alexandre Fracas, Joël Boisnard and Patrick Perraudin.
Regular buyers remained faithful to Osarus including foreigners, parisians, South West buyers, trainers from the West, South East and Centre East.
